We got our sweet dog Bear from Iowa Golden Puppies when he was a puppy. We couldn’t have chosen a better dog or a better breeder. Bear is so friendly and sweet with everyone he meets, human or animal. He adores little kids and babies, which makes sense since these puppies all grew up around Dave and his wife’s children! He’s so smart and was so easy to train as a puppy (also, one of the most well-behaved puppies I’ve ever seen!). He knew at least 4 different basic training commands by the time he was 12 weeks old. He’s a little over a year and a half old now and has grown into the most beautiful red golden retriever. “We got our dog Balvenie (Belle) from Iowa Golden Puppies. We asked for a calmer female to train as a service dog for my husband. They picked the perfect dog from the litter. Of course we visited ahead of pick up to check out the puppies and see if she was a good fit, but trusted the breeder. They know their pups. She is amazing. She is now a fully trained service animal and very healthy. She was bred and raised in a home environment where she was able to be around children and animals and get a good head start. We run a family farm and occasionally raise a carefully bred litter of pups, kittens, or hatching of chicks as well. I know a conscientious breeder when I see one. This is not a commercial breeding operation or a backyard breeder. This is a warm, kind family who will give you a lovely well cared for pet. Their dogs are a part of their family. Their litters of pups are given time and attention because they don’t have multiple litters at a time. They feed the pups good food and give appropriate veterinary care. Their prices are affordable because they enjoy what they do and want to provide families with quality dogs of this wonderful breed. I have had no trouble getting ahold of them with questions or to send pictures in the almost two years I’ve had Belle. Everyone who sees our dog comments on how beautiful and wonderful she is. Today we had her at a cookout event in the park with kids (not working in her service dog vest just as a pet) and she was walked and played with by multiple kids ages one to fourteen. They all loved her. She didn’t jump or pull on the leash. She is extremely gentle. It’s almost like she can sense who wants to play and who needs her to just stand still. She is one of the most perfect animals I have ever owned. I will forever be greatful to Iowa Golden Puppies for our beautiful girl!”

"I highly recommend purchasing a puppy from this breeder, Having owned several dogs over the years, this puppy is a standout!   We purchased Hadley in 2023 and she is the most loving puppy we could have asked for. I am a vet assistant who interacts with a lot of dogs everyday as well as having another dog that is a German Shepherd. Hadley is healthy, not having shown any health issues or allergies that are typically common for golden retrievers.
